New Law Helps Protect Homes From Wildfire
PINE, Colo. (CBS4)- Nearly $10 million is now available to help protect homes from wildfire.
Gov. John Hickenlooper signed the Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant Program into law on Friday at the dedication of Staunton State Park.
The money will pay for local projects to create defensive zones around homes in areas at the greatest risk for wildfire. It will also pay for community fire equipment.
