Powerball Jackpot Keeps Growing In Advance Of Saturday's Drawing

DENVER (CBS4)- The Powerball jackpot is expected to keep growing in advance of Saturday's drawing.

The jackpot jumped $190 million on Thursday to hit the $550 million mark.

At $550 million it's the second largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history.

But there is still a lot of time for it to grow into the biggest ever.

"We expect that through the sales in the next couple of days that the jackpot will be ever growing and perhaps even surpass the $587 million that we saw in November 2012," said Colorado Lottery spokeswoman Brooke Christopher.

No one won Wednesday's jackpot but 26 tickets were sold that had five matching numbers.
