Adventures In Textiles Showcases Threads Of Art
DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Art Museum has been known for its galleries of fabric art but now it's showcasing those threads into art in the new exhibit Spun: Adventures in Textiles.
Those galleries have been re-imagined and renovated into a spectacular new exhibit that's opening on Sunday.
CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody got a sneak peak ahead of the unveiling to the public.
Watch his behind-the-scenes tour below.
There are a number of exhibits within the gallery including Cover Story which is a look at intricate tapestries over the centuries.
There are also displays of Navajo textiles, Spanish textiles, photography and a unique exhibit that features an artist at work in a quilting studio.
Spun: Adventures in Textiles opens May 19 in the north building of the Denver Art Museum. Admission to the exhibit is included with general admission.
