Pedestrian Killed After Getting Hit On Federal Boulevard

DENVER (CBS4) - A pedestrian was killed on Federal Boulevard in Denver Saturday night..

The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. Police say they don't think the victim was in the crosswalk at Federal and 14th when he was hit.

Police said the driver stayed behind at the scene and they do not believe alcohol played a role.

"The vehicle stopped, so it's not a hit-and-run. We are speaking with that individual who was driving that car," Detective John White said. "It does not appear at this time that alcohol is a factor."

The names of the driver and victim haven't been released.
