Man Charged In Wife's Murder
DENVER (CBS4)- A man police believe shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself has been formally charged.
Genaro Rodela has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
The charges allege that Rodela, 37, shot his estranged wife, Maria Rodela, 24, in front of a home in the 4400 block of Sherman Street about 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
She died at the scene.
Rodela then shot himself and was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center where he was treated.
Rodala remains in custody and is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court May 14 to be advised of the charge.
