FBI Denver Gets New Special Agent In Charge

DENVER (AP) — The new special agent in charge of the FBI's Denver division most recently served in the inspection division at FBI headquarters in Washington.

The FBI said Tuesday that Thomas P. Ravenelle has been named as the top Denver FBI official.

The previous special agent in charge of the Denver division, James Yacone, left in March to take over as assistant director of the Quantico, Va.-based Critical Incident Response Group.

Ravenelle most recently served in the inspection division at FBI headquarters, leading inspections of field offices and investigations of shootings involving FBI agents. Since beginning as an FBI agent in 1987, his career has included investigating white-collar crimes, terrorism, and supervising Mexican drug trafficking investigations.
