GEORGETOWN, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — Loveland ski area has called it quits for the season.
The resort held closing day festivities Sunday, including live music and barbecue on the base lodge patio. Loveland is typically one of the first resorts in the state to open for the season and one of the last to close.
But worry not, skiers and snowboarders. Arapahoe Basin ski area near Loveland is expected to stay open until June 2.
Heavy snow this spring allowed several ski resorts to extend their season.
