FT. MORGAN, Colo. (CBS4)– A pile of burning tires north of Fort Morgan could continue to smolder for days.
The pile of tires and hay started burning about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on a farm after a controlled burn spread to the pile.
More than 30 firefighters from the area rushed to put the fire out and keep it from spreading.
No buildings were threatened and no one was hurt.
The Morgan County Sheriff said because of the materials the fire could burn for days.
