CU Police Search For Attempted Sex Assault Suspect
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– A young woman is hoping someone will recognize and turn in an attempted sexual assault suspect.
Police on the University of Colorado Boulder campus are searching for the man who attacked the woman about 11:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday.
The woman told police the man attacked her near Broadway and Pleasant Street while walking home from a party on the hill.
According to the victim the man approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground, placed a pair of scissors to her throat and began to remove her clothing.
The woman struck the man in the face and was able to get away.
Police said the victim described her attacker as a white man, about 50 years old, 5-foot-6 with a scruffy beard, crooked teeth and was wearing dark-colored athletic shorts and a white T-shirt.
