DENVER (CBS4) – The Arapahoe County Coroner has completed an autopsy on rock promoter Barry Fey but is witholding the results for several days at the request of Fey’s family.
“I would go along with their wishes,” Arapahoe County Coroner Dr. Michael Doberson told CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass. Doberson said the family “requested a couple days of not releasing the information,” including the manner of death and the cause of death.
CBS4 previously reported that according to multiple reliable sources with knowledge of the case, Fey took his own life at the home in Cherry Hills Village where he had been living.
Doberson said a funeral is planned for Fey on Tuesday and he anticipated releasing specifics on the rock impressario’s death by Thursday.
