Suspects In Deadly Shooting In Park Hill Identified

DENVER (CBS4) - Two people have been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting in Denver's Park Hill neighborhood Wednesday night.

Denver police said Thursday morning that the victim, identified as Charles Edward Harris, died. Harris, 37, had been in critical condition after the shooting at 38th and Grape Street the day before.

The shooting happened at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday. After the investigation officers closed off several blocks while they investigated what happened.

Police said Thursday that an argument led up to the shooting and that during the fight someone fired a gun.

Officers arrested Daryl Thompson Sr. about 1:45 a.m. Thursday. Thompson, 42, is being held for investigation of murder in the first degree, intimidation of a witness, accessory to a crime and tampering with a witness.

Police arrested Daryl Thompson Jr. about 9:45 a.m. Thursday. Thomspon, 19, is being held for investigation of murder in the first degree.

The cause of death for Harris has been determined to be multiple gunshot wounds.
