DENVER (CBS4)– The light rail line from Union Station to the Jefferson County government buildings will begin carrying passengers on Friday.
The line runs from downtown along 13th then swings over to the south side of 6th Avenue and out to the end of the line at the new JeffCo-Golden station near the JeffCo Government Center.
The bigger stations along the line are 12th and Sheridan, 13th and Wadsworth and the Federal Center on West 2nd Place.
The “W” line will be free to ride on Friday and the first train open to the public is at 11:30 a.m. in Golden.
The entire RTD light rail system will be free on Saturday.
