RTD's New 'W' Light Rail Line Expected To Be A Game Changer

DENVER (Denver Business Journal) - RTD opens the 12.1-mile, $707 million "W" light-rail line from downtown Denver to Golden on April 26, and it's expected to be a game-changer in several ways.

For the Regional Transportation District, the opening sends a message that FasTracks — the sprawling, financially troubled effort to build more than 100 miles of rail line throughout metro Denver — is alive and well, said Phil Washington, RTD general manager.
