Northern Water Customers Will Be Allowed To Water Twice A Week

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - People living in Fort Collins will now be able to water more than once a week.

Northern Water approved the twice-a-week watering restrictions. There had been concern that once-a-week watering would be an option.

"We do in a year like this recommend watering restrictions. As a general rule, because we don't have a plentiful water supply, the farmers are having to cut back and the city should be cutting back to some degree as well," Brian Warner with Northern Water said.

Several communities along the Front Range, including Denver, have instituted twice-a-week water restrictions this year because of severe drought conditions.
