Firefighters Rush To Extinguish 2-Alarm House Fire
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)– Firefighters in Fort Collins rushed to put out a two-alarm house fire on Friday morning.
The fire broke out about 10:30 at the single family home in the 3500 block of Kingston Circle.
When fire crews with Poudre Fire Authority arrived they found flames coming from the front windows and extending into the attic and spreading to upstairs from outside.
Crews did not find anyone inside the home but say two dogs were able to escape. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in 15 minutes.
There was heavy smoke damage to the living room, dining and kitchen areas. The other areas of the home suffered heat and smoke damage.
The cause is being investigated but fire investigators believe it started in the living room.
