ERIE, Colo. (AP) — Erie Mayor Joe Wilson is due in court to challenge an order by a judge to stay at least 100 yards away from a woman who rents property he is trying to sell.

The court order was issued after confrontations between the mayor and the tenant drew police to her home.

The temporary protection order was requested by 65-year-old Karol Hopper. It requires the mayor to appear in court on Monday to argue why the order shouldn’t be made permanent.
