DENVER (AP) – Colorado College’s Rylan Schwartz scored the tying goal and assisted on Charlie Taft’s game-winner Sunday as the Tigers beat Denver 4-3 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.
The Tigers (16-18-5) move on to the WCHA Final Five.
Cody Bradley and Hunter Fejes also had a goal and assist apiece.
Denver took a 2-0 lead on goals by Nick Shore and Dan Doremus 1:20 apart in the first period.
The Tigers scored three times in the second to go ahead. Bradley, Fejes and Schwartz netted goals. Schwartz’s short-handed goal at 8:56 gave Colorado College the lead.
David Makowski tied it for Denver (20-13-5), but the tie was short-lived. He and Shore had a goal and assist each.
Joe Howe had 37 saves for Colorado College and Juho Olkinuora made 22 saves for Denver.
