GLENDALE, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Glendale hit the bike path along Cherry Creek on Friday to help solve a murder mystery.

A man’s body was found on the banks of Cherry Creek by a passerby March 8. He was identified as Henry Thomas.

Glendale Police Cpt. Michael Gross said there was a weapon found near Thomas’ body but said the weapon was not a firearm.

Officers stopped cyclists, runners and joggers on the bike path near where Thomas’ body was found. They handed out fliers in hopes of finding witnesses to the murder.

Investigators said it is not clear how Thomas died. There is also evidence that he was not alone at the scene.
