Broncos Fans Snatch Up New Welker Jerseys

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos fans aren't wasting anytime pledging allegiance to the team's newest star.

On Thursday Wes Welker Broncos jerseys went on sale at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, just one day after the Broncos' surprising signing of the free agent receiver.

Denverite Don Vigil was among the first fans who checked out the Welker jerseys at the stadium's team shop. He said having Welker on the team boosts his hopes for a Super Bowl win for Denver next year even higher.

"With Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas we had our first two receivers locked up. It's another option for Manning to go to. I live and die by the Broncos, so anything that's going to get us another Super Bowl I'm all for," Vigil said. "Even though he was a Patriot I was always a fan of him. He's an excellent receiver for sure."

The Broncos sent out a tweet when they put the jerseys on sale, and many fans came running.
