DENVER (CBS4) – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Denver were closed for approximately two hours Thursday afternoon after a crash in which a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian.
Police said a man who was walking with a cane was the victim in the crash, and it wasn’t clear why he was walking next to or in the lanes of the busy interstate.
The closure was near the Havana cross street and caused major backups.
Investigators could be seen on a Colorado Department of Transportation camera studying the scene of the crash during the closure.
