DENVER (CBS4) – A man who pleaded guilty to driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a pregnant woman’s unborn baby has died.
Denver’s coroner confirmed on Thursday that the body of Gary Sheats, 53, of Longmont, was found in a motel in the city.
The expectant mother was due to give birth within a few days of the crash last July.
Sheats faced up to 20 years in prison, and was set to be sentenced next month.
Sheats took his own life.
