Police Locate Pickup Truck Owned By Missing Wheat Ridge Woman

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Wheat Ridge have located a pickup truck owned by a woman who has been for missing more than a month.

According to police, the last time Leann "Annie" Meyer, 51, had a confirmed contact with anyone was Feb. 10. There was one phone call and a number of text messages from her phone after that, but investigators said they aren't sure it was actually Meyer who was sending them.

Police had been looking for Meyer's 1995 silver Toyota pickup and received a tip on its whereabouts. Officers recovered the truck from a parking lot near West 72nd and Sheridan Boulevard.

Meyer's roommate — Melissa Miller — has hired a lawyer and is not talking to police. Police said they still have many people to talk to besides Miller.

Some of Meyer's family members are in town and plan to help investigators with the search. Friends have also been involved in the search for Meyer, and plan to do another organized effort to spread the word about her disappearance this Saturday.

Police are still searching for Meyer's other vehicle, a 2009 silver Toyota Rav4 with Colorado license plate 975-YUH.

Crimestoppers and US Bank together are offering a reward of $10,000 for information that leads to the location of Meyers.

Meyer is described as being 5-foot-7, 130 pounds with blue eyes and brown/grey hair.

If anyone has helpful information they are asked to call Wheat Ridge police at (303) 235-2947.
