ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) – A woman was found dead in her garage after what appears to be a tragic accident in Arvada on Wednesday.
The Colorado State Patrol says the victim, identified as Karen Sanders, 54, somehow got pinned between the door of a pickup truck and a pillar in the garage at her home in the 7600 block of Indiana Street.
“The Dodge was backing out of the right side garage door of a two-car garage that was separated by framing when Sanders was trapped between the driver side door of the Dodge and the framing between the two garage doors,” Trooper Nate Reid said in a statement.
Sanders was found by a family member at approximately 2 p.m. It’s not clear how long she’d been there. It’s also not clear why she was outside the vehicle.
