COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Colorado Springs have detained a man suspected of stealing a vehicle with children inside.

The incident occurred near Pikes Peak and Cascade Saturday afternoon when the suspect got in a running vehicle and fled.

The suspect then abandoned the vehicle near Cascade and Colorado. The children, ages 10 and 4, were still inside and unharmed.

Police haven’t released the name of the suspect.

It’s not clear where the children’s parents were when the incident occurred.
