INDIAN HILLS, Colo. (CBS4) – A horse that got trapped in an icy pond in Jefferson County early Saturday morning is expected to make a full recovery.
The horse, named Scarlett, spent five hours in freezing water after falling through the ice. Veterinarians and firefighters pulled her out and took her to a nearby animal hospital.
Scarlett had hypothermia but is making significant progress.
