BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – The principal of Boulder High School has been arrested.

Kevin Braney was taken into custody Wednesday after his wife told police she was worried he may become physically violent.

Braney’s wife told police he started throwing things inside their home. He and his wife told police they are in the process of a divorce.

Braney faces charges of child abuse, criminal mischief and domestic violence. He denies the charges.

The district has placed Braney on paid administrative leave.
