Obama Nominates First Female Air Force Academy Superintendent

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (CBS4) - For the first time a woman will be running the Air Force Academy.

President Barack Obama has nominated Maj. Gen. Michelle Johnson to serve as the Air Force Academy's 19th superintendent.

Johnson is currently serving as NATO's deputy chief of staff for operations and intelligence.

Johnson was the first female Rhodes Scholar when she attended the academy.
