DENVER (CBS4) – Being a smart consumer isn’t always easy, and it seems crooks are always trying to get to your money. But some help is coming National Consumer Protection Week.

It seems every time you turn around there’s one more thing you need to know to protect yourself from becoming a victim. Whether it’s the latest telemarketing and tax scam, or home repair rips-offs, or even fraudulent roofers or air duct cleaners, buyers beware.

Even though attempts to steal your money may feel like a never ending fight, it’s important to stay current about protecting yourself. Hope Marie Sneed with the Better Business Bureau stopped by CBS4 studios to preview National Consumer Protection Week and free events being held to get the protection you need.
