Man Arrested For Shooting At Bar In Thornton
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A man is in custody after a shooting at a bar in Thornton that left another man with serious injuries early Sunday morning.
Police said officers were responding to a disturbance and shots fired at Chamucos Bar located in the 8600 block of Washington Street. When they arrived they found a 40-year-old man who had been shot. The male was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
"Officers were able to establish that there was an altercation inside the bar, which included a group of three males and two females," police said in a statement. "As that group was escorted out of the bar, one person pulled out a weapon and fired shots inside the bar. They then fled the scene."
Police said during the investigation they were able to identify a suspect and later made an arrest.
The names of the suspect and victim haven't been released.
