DENVER (AP) – The Colorado Department of Transportation closed a bridge from northbound Interstate 25 to westbound Interstate 70 to repair surface problems on Friday.

Spokeswoman Mindy Crane said the bridge was temporarily closed on Friday because of problems with an expansion joint between bridge sections that could cause cars to have flat tires.

Crane said the closure was expected to last several hours and traffic was being diverted until the repairs were complete.
