MONUMENT, Colo. (CBS Denver) – After watching this shot by Anna Olsen of Lewis-Palmer, Marv Albert’s famous “Yes, and it counts!” phrase comes to mind.
And, yes, it does count.
As time was running out in the third quarter, Olsen attempted and made this miraculous full-court shot where the ball bounced into the basket .
Being the ball bounced in the paint before going in, the National Federation of State High School Associations rules credit it as a two-point basket to Olsen.
There might have been enough time for her to dribble up the court and attempt a shot closer to the basket, but that would not have been as incredible.
The shot took place during a game earlier this week.
The video has nearly 2 million views on YouTube.
