DENVER (CBS4) – A person is in serious condition after getting shot in Denver Saturday night.

The shooting happened near South Federal Boulevard and Arkansas Street. Police blocked off a major intersection.

According to police, there was an altercation involving people in a car. Someone in the car either fired several shots into another car or at someone standing outside the car.

Detectives interviewed witnesses and searched stores in that area. The Denver Gang Unit is investigating.

The male victim’s name and age haven’t been released.
