Man Found Guilty In Deadly Hit And Run Homicide Case
DENVER (CBS4)- A man accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash last year has been found guilty.
Andrew Simpson was convicted of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death on Wednesday.
Police said Simpson, 46, failed to stop for a solid red light at the intersection of Evans and University on May 31, 2012.
Simpson struck a University of Denver student who was riding his bicycle and didn't stop to help the victim, Masoud Bahramisharif.
Bahramisharif was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Simpson faces up to 18 years in prison when he appears for sentencing in Denver District Court on March 28.
