Missing Boy Dylan Redwine's Birthday Marked In Gathering

MONUMENT, Colo. (CBS4) - A prayer vigil was held in Monument for a boy who went missing from his father's home near Durango during Thanksgiving break.

Wednesday was Dylan Redwine's 14th birthday, but there is no celebration because he's been missing for more than two months. There's still hope he will be found.

Redwine's parents are divorced. His father, Mark Redwine, reported him missing Nov. 19 from his house in the Vallecito area about 22 miles northeast of Durango. The father said he left the boy at home around while he ran errands.

Dylan lives with his mother in Colorado Springs but was visiting his father for Thanksgiving as part of a court order when he disappeared. Authorities do not believe he ran away.

Official searches for Redwine have been called off, but a nonprofit called K-9 Forensics based in New Mexico has plans to conduct their own search.

The gathering in Monument Wednesday evening was one of four across several states.
