Expanded Wi-Fi Service Coming To National Parks
DENVER (CBS4) - It soon may be harder to get away from email, Facebook and Twitter -- even at a national park.
The National Park Service is partnering with a group to improve cellphone and Internet coverage at entrances, lodges and visitor centers at national parks.
There is no plan to wire all of the nearly 52 million acres of parks across the country.
The first tests will take place in a few parks and they hope the expanded Wi-Fi service will save the parks money on printing costs since it could put more of its park guides online.
