PHOENIX (CBS4) – A lawyer who got his start in Colorado has died from his wounds in an office shooting in Phoenix this week.

Mark Hummels, 43, had been on life support at a Phoenix hospital after Wednesday’s shooting. He died on Thursday night.

Hummels went to high school in Greeley and then to Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

The gunman was found dead Thursday morning after shooting himself.

A lawsuit the gunman had filed with the company — Osborn Maledon — is believed to be the motivation for the shooting. The CEO of the company was also killed.
