CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4)- An attorney with experience in death penalty cases will lead the prosecution in the Aurora theater shooting case.
Suspected gunman James Holmes is accused of opening fire inside a crowded theater at the Century 16 theater in Aurora during a showing of “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” on July 20.
Holmes is scheduled to enter a plea in March.
Daniel Zook has served as a top prosecutor in Colorado Springs for 23 years.
He has prosecuted four death penalty cases and one resulted in a death sentence.
