3 Men Accused Of Industrial Espionage In Denver
DENVER (AP) — Three men have been charged with stealing a company's proprietary and customer information in Denver and selling it to a competitor.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Wednesday that Charles Belcher, Gustav Eicher and Matthew Stotz are each charged with theft, computer crimes and theft of trade secrets.
The charges allege that the three men stole hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of computer information from their employer, Electric Power Systems International. The company provides electric testing services around the world.
Prosecutors say the men also deleted tens of thousands of computer files from the victim's computers that were critical to the company's business.
