Man Accused Of Dangling Toddler From 3rd Floor Balcony
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Colorado Springs have arrested a man who is accused of dangling a 3-year-old from a third floor balcony.
Police rushed to the apartment complex after neighbors reported the toddler was being cared for by an intoxicated man. Officers said they saw Mario Flores, 28, dangle the boy from the balcony.
“Officer Matt Waters and Officer Jason Ragland immediately started giving the intoxicated male verbal commands and then ran underneath the three year old boy in an attempt to catch him if necessary,” police said in a statement.
Two other officers immediately ran up to the third floor and secured the child.
Flores faces child abuse and reckless endangerment charges.
The child was not hurt and returned to his mother.
