DENVER (CBS4) – A Denver police officer was involved in an accident Saturday night.

The crash happened at approximately 9 p.m. at Federal and Alameda. The officer was responding to a shots fired call when the police cruiser smashed into a Subaru wagon.

The driver of the Subaru was cited for not yielding to an officer running with lights and sirens.

Nobody was seriously injured in the crash.
