Plea Agreement A Possibility For CIA Contractor In Parking Lot Fight

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) - A judge has delayed a pre-trial hearing for a CIA contractor who killed two men in Pakistan, raising the possibility of a plea agreement with Raymond Davis over a fight in a Colorado parking lot.

The judge delayed Friday's hearing and scheduled a hearing to dispose of the case Feb. 11, the day before Davis' trial is set to begin over the 2011 fight in Highlands Ranch, where he lives. Defendants usually agree to plea agreements at such hearings. Prosecutors also sometimes drop or reduce charges.

A prosecutor made reference to a possible deal in court. Davis' lawyer said nothing has been finalized.

Davis was held in Pakistan in after the fatal shooting in January 2011. Pakistan agreed to release him after more their families agreed to accept more than $2 million.
