DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Zoo is welcoming a new addition.

Chewbacca is a six-year-old red panda.

The zoo brought him in to keep the zoo’s other red panda, Daisy, company.

Chewbacca comes from the Detroit Zoo.

Red pandas are considered a “vulnerable species” — there are less than 2,500 adult red pandas in the wild.
