Aurora Police Identify Suspect Arrested In Deadly Shooting

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora have identified the suspect the arrested in connection with a deadly shooting from last weekend.

Isaac McCoy was arrested shortly after the shooting in the 10700 block of E. Exposition Ave. around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday. Police found McCoy, 22, a couple of houses away and arrested him.

Witnesses called police after hearing a man and a woman arguing near the parking lot just prior to shots being fired.

When officers arrived they found a woman lying in the parking lot suffering from what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital where she died a short time later.

Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other but haven't released a motive. The victim's identity has not been released.

McCoy was arraigned in Arapahoe County Court on Tuesday on first degree murder charges.
