COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – A man who was dropping off his 10-year-old son to be with his mother was stabbed in the hand with a screwdriver when he tried to prevent his car from being hijacked.
Colorado Springs police say the man was helping his child out of the car early Tuesday when the carjacker began banging on his windows. The man took his child inside and returned to find the hijacker driving off in his car.
The man says he reached into the car through a broken window and was stabbed with a screwdriver when the attacker drove off. The injuries were not life-threatening.
