WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (AP) – Woodland Park police say a suspect has been taken to a hospital after a shooting involving an officer.

Police say an officer was trying to make an arrest Tuesday afternoon when at least one shot was fired. No officers were hurt. Police say the officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave. The number of officers on leave wasn’t released.

Details of reasons for the initial arrest also weren’t immediately released.

Prosecutors will review the shooting.

Woodland Park is about 20 miles northwest of Colorado Springs.
