WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) – A suspected sex predator is under arrest after flying to Denver to meet a teenage girl.

Edward Gutierrez, 38, flew from Philadelphia to Denver International Airport Friday morning. He then went to a restaurant in Wheat Ridge expecting to meet a 13-year-old he met through Facebook. Instead, an undercover police officer was waiting for him.

The teen thought she knew Gutierrez when she “friended” him on Facebook and later realized they’d never met. She went to police when he began sending inappropriate messages.

Gutierrez was arrested on counts including suspicion of Internet luring of a child, a felony.
