ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – An Adams County deputy shot and killed a suspected drunk driver Monday evening.
Authorities said a witness called in about a drunk driver in the area of 142nd and Quebec at approximately 6 p.m. When the deputy arrived on scene he found a vehicle in the ditch.
The driver then allegedly got out and crouched near his car with a container of beer. After that police say the man pointed a gun at one of the deputies.
The deputy then fired twice and killed the man.
The names of the suspect and deputy haven’t been released.
