DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver have arrested a man accused of shooting and killing a woman near 13th and Pearl Street.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1300 block of Pearl Street Friday night. Officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound and she died at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The suspect, Clifford Dee Fordyce, 40, has a long criminal background, including assaults, robbery, kidnapping and domestic violence.
