DENVER (CBS4) – The head of the Colorado State Patrol is leaving.
A spokesperson for the patrol says Chief James Wolfinbarger plans to retire at the end of the month. His contract was set to expire on June 30.
In an email to staff, he said he’s leaving to pursue new challenges.
Wolfinbarger has been head of the patrol for nearly four years.
