FORT LUPTON, Colo. (CBS4) – A series of accidents were reported on Friday on highways on Colorado’s Eastern Plains, where snowy conditions have made for dangerous driving.
Several cars went off the road and got stuck and others were damaged in collisions on Highway 85 near Fort Lupton. Approximately 25 different cars were involved.
Two people were hospitalized.
Emergency officials said the crashes happened about 10:45 a.m. and that some or all of the lanes of the highway between Fort Lupton and Brighton would be closed while they cleaned up the wrecks.
CBS4′s Jim Benemann’s son Drew also shared the following images he captured of a separate crash scene on Interstate 76 around the same time.
